just came back from jnco yesterday! took a shower and intended to plop right into bed! BUT, i didnt bathe and i took a nap, oops. then woke up, showered, and then cousins came over (:
WHEE. i cant rmb what we did. just watch tv, took pictures, eat dinner, play mahjong etc. felt quite lethargic and my eyes were kinda swollen so i put ice. hmm? today i woke up at noon, we all just hung out together lah. had cup noodles for dinner HAHA. then they just went home.
hmm, i didnt think id get muscle aches from jnco eh, but i did. i could describe the camp with a few words i guess. "sleep-deprived", "stress".. dont know what else.
sleep-deprived, it explains itself. like every night, at least one group would be up planning and preparing something. sometimes had to do the banner, some had to do video, the rest helped out or fell asleep. one night eli and i were so tired we slept while sitting down in the briefing room. apparantly both our mouths were gaping WIDE and people who came in all saw, damnnit XD they probably took a picture or something
for activations, seriously as much as you didnt want to sleep, you would just drift away while waiting for somebody to save you. one minute your waiting, another minute your up on a stretcher lah. one time i was asked to lie on the locker and i just fell asleep. but lying on the floor like that gives people backpain/ hip pain/ itchyness/ cold. i think i have lie on the floor at least 4 hours for the whole camp :D
stress as in sometimes our plans dont go our way. the time schedule could get really tight or screwed, but thankfully we have each other to help out. example
campfire, after pain-stakingly setting up the campfire (kiankok stacking up firewood meticulously, people moving 24 canteen benches, setting up the projector screens and stuff) it started to rain.... so things could really get quite frustrating at times.
another time was for std1 camp when time was real tight, eli was getting the stress symptoms and refused to eat! i feel it when sometimes people cant find their logistics, or when i see the SJ room in an utter mess, or when people think my job hasnt been done well..
as for me, bulk of the time eli justin eve xunlin and i would be at
std one camp. i think i enjoy spending time with them (most of the times :D) its like their little kids to me. always complaining, endless things to talk, and full of energy (: like going through the activities with them, eating with them, talking to them and stuff.
one thing was that we had to sacrifice having meals with our squad to have it with the std 1s, who usually like eat finish before we do, and after that have to rush off to another place again?
for standard ones. im really glaaaad they learnt something from the camp! glad that they got to brush up on their first aid and footdrill, got to get to know each other better, got to know us better in fact. but just a small though of mine, i thought they could have learnt more from the camp instead of just having fun all the time. yeah :D
BUT. i guess they should have some fun of theirs too. field cooking was quite fun! :D though we couldnt start a fire. im impressedddd by people who can make things work. sir weichee could start a good fire. but its all about the twigs luh, in the end we used fire starters! lol
even though the campfire was switched to contigencyplan and moved up to the hall with the fake fire and everything, it still turned out fine. i even thought it was more cosy up there. had fun singing and dancing & stuff with people sitting around HAHA.
oh oh. as for us people in the std one camp group, we really need to thank the standard fours and mdm pearl ning for their support! esp the std4s, always there to lend us a helping hand.. we really would have done very badly without them. thankyou!
but overall-y, camp was a rather good experience. i guess ((: even though we went through much..
anyway christmas is kind of here so sudden. i'm not really in the christmas mood. look forward to class and family gatherings though! :D :D
walao! during camp i was like singing with yi'an the "sai kang workers" song HAHAH. damn hilarious la. sigh, there i'm a sai kang worker, at home all the sai kang things also i do one. SO SAD
